Being able to value an alternative perspective (especially those in direct opposition to my way of thinking) is a skill that I could spend my entire lifetime cultivating. Frequently, I want to rush into a situation, instinctively make a decision, and move on. This is clearly the Activator in me at work. Given this talent, I can feel frustrated and impatient when partnering with individuals who have Deliberative talents. Individuals with Deliberative talents are fantastic at thinking through situations BEFORE diving into potentially risky ventures. They anticipate problems and steer clear from a rush to judgment. While I am champing at the bit to move forward, my Deliberative partner is assessing the flaws in my plan. Despite my impatience, I recognize that the success of such partnerships speaks for itself.
